Hi friend please helps me out. My wife is going to apply on June 17 for US in visitor visa from Europe just for a week since she is doing her master there and going to be graduate by this September

.And we are little worried about some thing that is in Visa form I 156 where it is married and need to put spouse name which fine but in no 37. Which below

 

 

 37. Are Any of The Following Persons in The U.S., or Do They Have U.S. Legal Permanent Residence or U.S. Citizenship?
Mark YES or NO and indicate that person's status in the U.S. (i.e., U.S. legal permanent resident, U.S. citizen, visiting, studying, working, etc.).

We don’t know what to do.  Cause  in her passport she has own family and marriage certificate  is mine .I was here in B2 2007 and changed into F1.

 

My sister is sponsoring her . So I have few questing

Should we have to show them marriage certificate in the embassy.

should  we say that I am here ?

will embassy do a crosscheck my name  in there system ?

What will be the best answer if we say I am not here?

Please do suggest me and help me out. Your suggestion and advice will be highly appreciate

If I am reading it correctly, you mean to say your wife's passport has HER maiden name (maiti ko last name), and in marriage certificate, it is YOUR lastname.

If you are the legitimate husband, then the answer is : Husband [YES] Student, F1

You have no choice, and not declaring certain current facts may have severe repercussions in the future.

Also, in my personal opinion, you might not want to mention that your SISTER is sponsoring her trip. This just goes to show that you are currently unable to support yourself, let alone your wife when/if she visits you.
