Hello,

I have a quick question regarding Visa. I would appreciate if somebody has ideas about this.

I came to US in 2006 in F-1 Visa which is valid until 2011. But my passport expired in 2007 so I renewed it in US. Now I am planning to go back to home in this summer. But some people told me that I have to again apply for Visa to be stamped in new passport to enter US. It doesn't seem to me logical as well as practical. Do you guys have any ideas on this ?

Thanks

Yes,

You have to apply for visa again and get it stamped in your new passport.

Best of luck!!

You don't need to re-apply if you don't want to but u need to carry both passports along whenever u leave the country. I also had similar case and could get into and out of the country with both passports with me.

No, you don't have to apply for visa again. But make sure, you have both passports while traveling. You're safe; don't worry.

Enjoy your trip.
